Meadow Road Gallery: Robin Pulford

Acquired Taste Prints is the work of Robin Pulford – who has lived in Kettering for over 50 years.  An artist, graphic designer and printer, Robin has always given personalised cards and gifts to people.  The first gift he gave me, his partner, was a drawing of Wicksteed Park after we had talked about our childhood memories of there on one of our first dates.

Since then he has drawn local landmarks and sports teams for family members’ birthdays, friends’ wedding venues, engagement parties and housewarming.  The drawing of the Pleasure Park (submitted) was drawn as a house warming gift when we moved into  our first home together on William Street – and it hangs proudly in our Dining Room.
He had a lot of fun “researching” the Kettering pubs picture – it makes for an impressive pub crawl!

Robin had such a catalogue of local images that it seemed a shame not to do anything with them – we now sell them at local events and fairs (including Kettfest and the carnival) under the name of Acquired Taste Prints.
