Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the Love Kettering Hub. By registering an account, creating a listing or submitting any content to the platform, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. About the Love Kettering Hub

The Love Kettering Hub (“the Hub”) is operated by Love Kettering (“we”, “us”, “our”), a community platform based in Kettering, Northamptonshire. The Hub is a central directory and events platform designed to connect local residents with businesses, organisations, charities and events in the Kettering area.

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Hub as a member, listing holder or event organiser. They apply to all content submitted to the platform, including business listings, event listings, images, descriptions and any other material.

2. Eligibility and Registration

To register as a member of the Hub, you must:

• Be a business, organisation, charity, community group or event organiser operating in or around the Kettering area
• Be aged 18 or over, or have the authority to enter into a legally binding agreement on behalf of your organisation
• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Keep your account details up to date

We reserve the right to refuse or revoke membership at our discretion, including where we believe a listing does not serve the interests of the local community.

3. Business and Organisation Listings

Members are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of their listing. By submitting a listing, you confirm that:

• All information provided is accurate, truthful and not misleading
• You have the legal right to operate the business or organisation described
• Any images submitted are either owned by you or you have the necessary rights and permissions to use them
• Your listing does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party
• You will update your listing promptly if any details change

We reserve the right to edit, remove or decline any listing that does not meet our standards or these Terms and Conditions.

4. Event Listings

Members and event listing package holders may submit events for publication on the Hub. By submitting an event listing, you confirm that:

• The event details are accurate, including date, time, location and pricing
• The event is genuine and will take place as described
• You have the necessary permissions, licences and insurance to hold the event
• The event complies with all applicable laws and regulations
• You will notify us promptly if an event is cancelled, postponed or materially changed

Love Kettering accepts no responsibility for the quality, safety or delivery of events listed on the Hub. Any disputes between event organisers and attendees are the sole responsibility of the organiser.

5. Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited on the Love Kettering Hub. We will remove any content that, in our reasonable judgement, falls into any of the following categories, and may suspend or terminate the relevant account without notice:

Hateful or discriminatory content

• Content that promotes, incites or glorifies hatred, discrimination or violence against any individual or group on the basis of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation
• Content that uses language that is racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist or otherwise discriminatory or offensive
• Content that targets, harasses or intimidates any individual or group

Illegal content

• Content that promotes, facilitates or encourages illegal activity of any kind
• Content that infringes the copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights of any third party
• Content that constitutes defamation, libel or malicious falsehood
• Content that breaches any individual’s privacy or data protection rights
• Content that promotes unlicensed or unregulated financial services, gambling or other regulated activities

Misleading or harmful content

• False, misleading or deceptive information about a business, organisation or event
• Content that makes unsubstantiated claims, including false health or medical claims
• Content that impersonates another business, individual or organisation
• Fake reviews, testimonials or endorsements
• Spam, unsolicited promotional content or content designed primarily to manipulate search rankings

Inappropriate content

• Sexually explicit or adult content of any kind
• Graphic or gratuitous violence
• Content that is offensive, obscene or likely to cause serious or widespread offence
• Content promoting extremist views or organisations
• Content that exploits, endangers or is otherwise harmful to children or vulnerable people

6. Members’ Forum

Access to the Love Kettering Hub members’ forum is available to active members only. The forum is intended as a space for constructive, collaborative and supportive discussion between local businesses and organisations.

When using the forum, you agree to:

• Treat all other members with courtesy and respect
• Not post content that falls into any of the prohibited categories listed in Section 5
• Not use the forum to solicit business in an unsolicited or aggressive manner
• Not share confidential information belonging to other members without their consent
• Not post content that could bring Love Kettering or the Hub into disrepute

We reserve the right to remove forum posts and to suspend or terminate forum access for any member who breaches these terms.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Hub. By submitting content, you grant Love Kettering a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and promote that content on the Hub and across our associated social media channels and mailing list for the purposes of operating and promoting the platform.

You confirm that you have the right to grant this licence and that your content does not infringe the rights of any third party. Love Kettering retains all rights in the Hub platform itself, including its design, structure and original content.

8. Membership Fees and Payments

Membership fees and event listing package prices are as published on the Hub at the time of purchase. By completing a payment, you agree to the relevant fee. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated or required by law.

Where a free trial period is offered, this will be clearly communicated at the time of registration. Following the expiry of any free trial, standard membership fees will apply. We will endeavour to notify you in advance of any trial expiry.

We reserve the right to amend our pricing at any time. Where pricing changes affect an existing membership, we will provide reasonable notice before the new pricing takes effect.

9. Moderation and Enforcement

Love Kettering reserves the right to moderate all content submitted to the Hub. We may, at our discretion and without prior notice:

• Edit, remove or decline any listing, event or forum post that breaches these terms
• Suspend or terminate a member’s account where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached
• Report content or activity to the relevant authorities where we believe it may be illegal
• Refuse membership or listing applications without being required to give a reason

10. Limitation of Liability

The Love Kettering Hub is provided as a directory and promotional platform. We do not endorse, verify or take responsibility for the quality, safety, legality or accuracy of any business, organisation, event or content listed on the Hub.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Love Kettering shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Hub, including but not limited to loss of business, loss of revenue, or any indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Privacy and Data

Your use of the Hub is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is available at lovekettering.co.uk. By using the Hub, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify members by email or via the Hub. Your continued use of the Hub following notification of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from your use of the Hub shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
