About Us

Spread the Love

Welcome! We’re Love Kettering - a standalone community organisation set up with the aim of helping to get everyone excited and emotionally invested in our town again.

For the past few years, we’ve been documenting and sharing all the amazing events, shops, projects and people we’ve come across, to help keep our community in the loop with the best bits of our town. We see in realtime, across our social channels, how much difference it can make by channeling a little positivity, so we set up as a Community Interest Company (CIC) to help us double down on the causes that are raising people’s perception of our home and rebuilding some community spirit.

For us, that looks like giving a little TLC to ensure we have clean, safe and attractive streets, and championing any local heroes and projects that strengthen community and creativity - as a foundation for being able to come together and make better decisions in the interests of everyone.

We’re in this together after all, so let’s do our best to lift each other up and see Kettering thrive.

Amber McAllister

Amber McAllister

Hello! I’m Amber, the founder of Love Kettering. I’m a photographer with a love for vintage vibes, Chicken Wine, and a good Thai takeaway. I’m all about capturing real moments—candid, warm, and full of personality. Photography is my passion, but food and community come a close second.

I started Love Kettering because I was fed up of all the negativity I was seeing around the town. Initially I had a good moan if I’m honest, but soon realised that nothing would change unless we started to take action for ourselves. The past couple of years, I’ve started to notice a real change and I can’t wait to see what comes of everyone’s hard work.

Ben Browning

I’m Ben – a builder by day and a dancefloor photo addict by night. I’m obsessed with vintage cameras, Land Rovers, and my dog Ralph (he’s basically my shadow). I’ve always got a Monster in hand and a camera ready to catch the best party moments. If there’s music, lights, and good energy, I’m probably there snapping it.

Kettering has so many great creative businesses, music events and projects that I’ve loved being a part of. Here’s to many more.

James Garside

James Garside

Hi! I’m James - a designer and art director with a background in advertising and experiential design. I’m also a trained psychotherapist and a group leader at Kettering Brotherhood, the men’s support group.

Bit of a contrast, I know, but all part of my mission to find ways of strengthening and rebuilding tight-knit community in our town. So many of the issues we’re facing in the modern world are because we’ve become so disconnected from each other. We’re meant to be a village - a tribe. Being surrounded by people we trust and can rely on, who are all working towards a common goal, is how we build a better life for everyone. That takes a bit of courage to reach out and talk to people we might not know. But the more we do so, the more we can build the network of connections to help lift each other up.

That’s our intention with Love Kettering - to build a foundation that empowers our local community to follow their dreams and take action for themselves, for the benefit of all of us. There are so many amazing projects on the go locally right now. I hope you’ll feel inspired to get involved too.

Let’s make Kettering great.
