My name is Dave Wilhelm, and when I’m not working full-time as an Engineering and Safety Trainer for the London Underground, I dedicate my time to my passion as a digital artist and sculptor.
Based in Kettering, I currently run a weekend pop-up shop, The Art Emporium, located in the Newlands Shopping Centre.
Art is my life and my chosen form of self-expression. Through my work, I communicate my emotions, experiences, influences, and perspective on the world around me.
My submitted piece, Child Africa, reflects the values of peace, love, strength, and harmony that resonate deeply within me. The painting is also a celebration of my African heritage, drawing inspiration from the culture, identity, and spirit that form an important part of who I am. It represents the childlike innocence that exists in all of us while honouring my roots and personal journey. Through this piece, I hope to convey a sense of unity, pride, and connection that transcends age, background, and culture.
