Our Board Game Café Night runs from 6-10pm on the first Friday of every month at Johnny's Happy Place in Kettering. You can turn up at any time but only pay one ticket price for the whole four hours.

Come along and try any of our hundreds of modern board games! The BoK team will be on hand to recommend games and teach you how to play. We will always have new games you will love based on what you have enjoyed playing before. Kids are very welcome as we have lots of family friendly games too.

We have a great menu including delicious cakes, brownies and homemade houmous. Veggies and vegans are catered for with various sweet and savoury options. Please let us know if you are gluten free in advance and we can bring a cake along for you too (don't worry, you don't have to eat the whole thing!)

We will also have an array of board games for sale, with 10% of all purchases on the night.

Boards of Kettering are Dez, Polly, Doug and Gary. We started BoK in 2019 to share our love of modern board games with our community. Since 2021 we have run a monthly board game cafe night in Kettering, and we retail games in That Pink Shop and Kitsch Mitch in Kettering and Vintage Guru in Northampton.
In 2024, we started organising the annual Northants Board Game Convention at Kettering Arts Centre, which has been a brilliant event and returns in 2026 (Friday 31st July & Saturday 1st August).

We have recently evolved Boards of Kettering into a CIC (Community Interest Company) to use board games in education as a means to improve skills and well-being through play.
