Meadow Road Gallery: Keiron Farrow

Painting started for me in 1989/90, with the sleeve of The Stone Roses first album which their guitarist, John Squire painted and designed in the style of Jackson Pollock… Paintings happen fast, they usually start and finish in one session.  I love this aspect of what I do because it’s like being a kid again, where my drawing and painting happened all at once and I would just be going for it, lost in doing it.

Painting is the purest joy I have ever had, for myself, in my whole life. Given that I am nearing half a century, here, in the middle bit between birth and death, I feel I have learned enough about what being human is and how that has affected my own experience, to know when something feels and is really good. Painting is that thing for me.
